    Cracked pavement, trees enveloping fences, clotheslines, garbage cans, —
    all are always singing praises,
    joining the chorus of mourning doves, weedflowers, clouds, rocks, hills, streams
    repeat resounding joy.

    Sometimes it’s rich soft harmonies, sometimes jumpy dissonances
