This is the final inspirational quote from InwardOutward.org. We are suspending these because our delivery system has been unable to post these quotes at a regular time. We hope you will enjoy the weekly gospel reflection on Saturday and engage with the reflection questions as our way to let the words of scripture come alive in your own life.

  1. Inward / Outward has been food for my soul; solace, inspiration and challenge for many years. I am so grateful for the wisdom and creativity that has gone into researching and selecting these nuggets for our day…..or night….literally or figuratively, I will miss the daily posts so much and hope, if some way at some point, the Church of The Savior community and whoever else is involved, can find a way to resurrect this ministry to so many.

Simply the act of putting before us the phrase, “Inward / Outward” day in and day out has been a creative and healing dissonance in the midst of a dominant culture and domination system that incessantly separates the two and demotes and elevates one or the other with destructive consequences to our inner lives, communities and the Earth. Concluding your last several quotes from Elizabeth O’Connor’s book, “Journey Inward Journey Outward,” was such a good choice!

I am glad you will be continuing with the weekly Gospel reflection which is greatly appreciated as well.

Blessings to you and all the Inward / Outward reader community.

  2. I hope the interruption is only temporary. The daily devotionals help in my daily walk with Jesus. I pray for the restoration, in His Name, Amen. Anna, Melbourne, Australia.

  3. This strikes me as a curious reason to suspend the daily quotes. I suspect that many readers don’t really care what time of day they receive the inward/outward daily email so long as it eventually arrives. Perhaps there is more behind the decision that this scheduling issue….

  4. I will miss your daily inspirations. So often they fit perfectly with another passage of scripture or writing that I stumble across, giving me one more sense that God is working in my life. I do enjoy the Saturday reflections and have used them as devotionals with my small group, so I’m glad to know that you’ll still be doing them. Thank you so much!

  5. Your quotes have inspired me daily for years. Thank you. I will miss them greatly!

  6. Thank you so much for all of these over the years.
I am sad beyond words that they cannot continue.
