God be in my head, and in my understanding;
God be in my eyes, and in my looking;
God be in my mouth, and in my speaking;
God be in my heart, and in my thinking.

This is a beautiful hymn that is my all-time favorite for use as the hymn before the Gospel reading and sermon. In our text there is a fifth linel. “ God be at mine end and at my departing.”
