Theme: SPIRITUAL RENEWAL. The primary focus of this silent retreat is each retreatant’s individual silent prayer and reflection. To encourage this in each person and the entire group, we will consider what it means to “rest in God” as a means of spiritual renewal. As the 20th century American Trappist Thomas Merton has written, “As long as I am content to know that God is infinitely greater than I, and that I cannot know God unless God shows Himself to me, I will have Peace, and God will be near me and in me, and I will rest in God.”
Leader: Reverend Ridgeway Addison, Ph.D. is an educator, minister, and spiritual director. He presently serves as an adjunct Assistant Professor at Georgetown University where he teaches in the areas of spirituality and ethics.
