“We invite you to view a virtual memorial service for Rev. Yolande W. Ford, created to honor her wishes and to pay tribute to her life and faith walk. She was mindful of the public health environment in which we are living and wanted everyone to feel free to view the service safely and comfortably in the manner and at the time of their choosing.

The one-hour-long service can be accessed at this link: https://youtu.be/gEzet2Bvav4

The service will also be available on the McGuire Funeral Home page, where you may read the obituary, share a memory of Rev. Ford and send a message to the family. Please visit: https://www.mcguire-services.com and under “Recent Obituaries” click on Rev. Ford’s name or picture to take you to the obituary page. There you may scroll down to the bottom of her page to share a memory and or/comment on the service.

An order of service is included below in the body of this email.

Fundraiser for The Potter’s House Pay it Forward Program featuring bands All Her Muses and Boy Meets Pearl

Saturday, Aug. 27, 2022
7-10pm

The Potter’s House
1658 Columbia Road, NW
Washington, D.C. 20009

“Local bands All Her Muses and Boy Meets Pearl are playing a fundraiser for Potters’ House Pay It Forward program.

All Her Muses is a DC-based music project founded in 2017 by disabled poet/singer Natalie E. Illum and musician/composer Grey Jacks. They released their debut album “Not Speaking in Metaphor” in May 2022. The record is part punk, part heartbreak, part dance mix – inspired by unexpected breakups, depression cycles, and a few questionable decisions. All Her Muses features a rotating roster of guest musicians and artists, making each live (and live-streamed) performance unique.

Boy Meets Pearl describe their music as carousel punk with a lineup that includes accordion, glockenspiel, autoharp, Chapman stick, French Horn, Bari Sax, cajon, cello and violin. They write songs about things like time rifts, conjoined twins and tiger sharks.

Potters house Pay It Forward program offers free meals to anyone in need. Since the pandemic began we have given away more than 30,000 free meals. We’re committed to continuing the program and and helping our community and neighbors in need.

The café and bookstore will be open during the show so feel free to grab something delicious to eat or drink or pick up your next favorite read!

Suggested minimum donation is $10, pay at the door :)”
