We invite you to read the words that shape our life together.

Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak was published just in time for my mom to buy it and read it to me in the late 60’s and early 70’s. It’s magic to me: the illustrations and text take me right back to my childhood. Max, sent to his room without any supper for being rude to his mom, dreams up a world of his own—one in which he is king. It doesn’t take long for him to miss the safe confines of his home.

“And Max, the king of all wild things, was lonely and wanted to be where someone loved him best of all.”
