Grace-filled God of mercy, throw open your doors. I stand in need. Your light of truth has fallen on my face, and I have turned away. Your word of love has fired my heart, and I have stopped my ears. The stones I throw to keep your Spirit have hit their mark. I stand outside your gaze of love in every wound I cause. Forgive my sin. Forgive my rush to prove you wrong. Forgive my rage that I live so poorly the life I want to live. Accept my repentance, I pray in Jesus’ name. Amen.
