Milagros Phillips continues her race healing work with: “
Race & The Shadow
Behind every shadow there is a gift shining its light and beckoning us to claim it. Let’s dive into the shadow of racism and claim the gifts that dwell behind its shadow. This third Monday of Black History Month, we will explore:
- What is racial shadow
- How racial shadow affects communities of color
- Entering the shadow’s cave
- Empowered by the light
Our human family forms a global village. All members are important and need to be supported on this healing journey. These Race Literacy programs are open to ALL people, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, gender, sexuality, nationality, or other personal identities.
Can’t make it for the live event at 12 ET on Monday? All registrants will receive a link to purchase a 24-hour video replay for just $5.

Lent is a time when Christian communities pray, fast, and share as they listen more intently for God. This year, have your church join with many others in heeding the call to be stewards of God’s Creation. Each day calls on us to take a different action and each of these actions will help to preserve God’s great gift of Creation.
May this season serve as a wake-up call to be mindful of the ways that our daily choices impact both our common home and all those with whom we share it, especially people living in poverty.
This year’s calendar is produced in partnership with our friends at Interfaith Partners for the Chesapeake, and we invite you to share it digitally with your community via email, during an upcoming service, and on social media.
