We invite you to read the words that shape our life together.

The Sneetches, by Dr. Seuss, is a story about division, acceptance, and community. During my time as summer chaplain at Camp Tekoa in the mountains of North Carolina, I used this book in every session with elementary and middle school kids to communicate the difficulty and blessing of establishing community. It’s timeless. Read it!

“The Sneetches got really quite smart on that day.
The day they decided that Sneetches are Sneetches.
And no kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches.
That day, all the Sneetches forgot about stars
and whether they had one, or not, upon thars.”
