…we challenge ourselves and those who attend to “put our weight down” with some group of men and women who suffer exclusion and do not have what they need in the way of education, housing, health care and community which would make possible their becoming all they were created to become.
When we put our weight down with one group of suffering individuals – such as the homeless, mentally ill and addicted – that action connects us with all the suffering individuals across the globe. Likewise, putting our weight down with one expression of healing and hope – like Recovery Café – connects us with a worldwide movement of healing and hope.
